Changelog
All notable changes to Procedural Mesh Studio. Versions follow Semantic Versioning: a new major for anything that breaks scripts or the engine plugins, a minor for features, a patch for fixes. The in-app “What’s new” shows the section of the version that was just installed.
[0.3.0] — 2026-10-10
The first version delivered by the built-in updater.
Buying
- Before a purchase from the Studio you confirm, in a dialog, that you accept the Terms and ask for immediate access, as on the website: the 14-day right of withdrawal ends with it.
Your own keys
- A trusted provider now includes its subdomains, so an endpoint such as https://token-plan-ams.xiaomimimo.com/v1 works with Xiaomi MiMo.
- The endpoint field no longer shows red messages while you type: a yellow warning appears only when the address is outside the trusted providers.
Fixes
- The Unreal Engine, Unity and Blender pages of the settings no longer turn the window black.
[0.2.0] — 2026-10-06
The first version built to be published.
The assistant
- The assistant now runs on the Procedural Mesh Studio server. The Studio sends the request and the script, builds and checks what comes back, and shows the conversation; the instructions the model works from stay on the server.
- Two ways to pay: credits, on our model accounts, or your own key (OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Z.ai, MiniMax, Gemini). Your key stays on this machine, encrypted, and is never stored on the server. OpenRouter and the local runtimes (Ollama, LM Studio) are no longer available.
- Custom providers: Settings → Your own keys → Add custom provider, with a name, an endpoint, the request shape it speaks (OpenAI-compatible, Anthropic or Gemini) and Discover for its models. The server relays only to the hosts we have approved.
- Each reply shows what it cost; the chat shows an estimate and your balance.
- The chat is a bar along the bottom of the 3D view: closed it is the input, open it shows the conversation. Ctrl+L to type, Esc to close.
- Changes queued in the outliner go with your next message, with a note if you add one.
- Claude models: the newer ones no longer receive a temperature, the reasoning setting maps onto each model’s own thinking controls, and the summary of the model’s thinking is shown while it works.
License and account
- Sign in with Google or with your license number. The app checks the license when it starts and every few minutes; without a connection it keeps working for five minutes and then locks — open documents can always be saved first.
- The account menu, at the bottom of the activity bar: plan, renewal, credits, devices, the Stripe portal, sign out.
Editor and library
- A new activity bar on the left, with Settings and the account at the bottom.
- The editor’s tools float over the viewport: move, rotate, scale, duplicate and delete on the left; reference grid, wireframe, surfaces and framing (F) on the right.
- Export to GLB: from the editor (Export ▾), from an asset’s details, and a whole folder at once. Materials, colours and glow are kept; the model faces glTF’s forward (+Z).
- Glowing materials now reach the engines too.
- Two libraries: ours, read-only and updated in the background, and yours, in Documents/ProceduralMeshStudio/Library. Editing one of our assets saves a copy in yours.
- Faster start: the window appears at once, the library comes from an index and is rescanned in the background, thumbnails load lazily and are checked against the script they were drawn from, the asset grid only draws what is on screen, and the code editor loads the first time you open it.
Engines
- The bridge serves several editors at once — Unreal, Unity and Blender — each switched on in Settings. “Send to ▾” lists the connected ones.
- New Unity package and Blender extension.
- The Unreal plugin (0.2.0) no longer carries a copy of the Studio or of the library: it finds the installed app by itself, starts it without a window when geometry is needed, and says so when the Studio is not signed in, is missing, or does not speak its version. Builds on Unreal Engine 5.4 to 5.8.
Updates
- The app updates itself in the background, on the stable or the beta channel, and installs on restart — never in the middle of your work.
